Boston Open Studios 2009

Talk to and buy art directly from the artist, see demonstrations, listen to music, sample area restaurants and peruse off-the-beaten path retail shops in Boston's historic neighborhoods!

Since the start of 2009, TV, radio, and print media have expounded the dire need for assistance with respect to the rapid depletion of local and area food banks.  Due to the precarious state of the economy, individuals and families who formerly did not have to resource food banks, must do so now as a case of necessity…..and for that reason, food banks everywhere are experiencing record low inventory. 

There has never been an established food drive during the Open Studios weekends; and there has never been a greater need to help combat the voraciously depleting food banks. 

As you enjoy visiting all the participating Open Studios throughout Boston, if possible, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to the Open Studios locations which are hosting a food drive.  EVERY food item you donate WILL make a tremendous difference; together we can all help paint a brighter picture for those in need.

The drive will take place at the Open Studios in Jamaica Plain, South Boston, Allston and Fenway.
